"Ophir Abou" or Remi as he is affectionately known to us, was purchased by us from Ophir Stud as an unhandled yearling.

Remi has a fantastic nature, which made it very easy to handle him. He has never once laid his ears back or picked a foot up, he is a pleasure to handle, ride and compete with.

Remi was broken in by Chad Brady as a 2yo, Chad said he was one of those horses that a Cattle Station would love to own as he has a big heart, is easy to sit on and will go all day.

After being broken in, Remi competed successfully in Led, Hack and Working Classes and also competed Successfully at the 2010 World Championship Show 3yo Futurities with Trainer Mark West.

Mark continued with Remi's training, teaching him to Campdraft and during his first season out, he is consistantly scoring 20's in the Camp and High 80's when completing the course.  Each time he has completed the course, he has placed. Mark West said he is a pleasure to Campdraft, he is just so relaxed in the Camp and when he is out on the course, he is easy to check and never ever pulls.

He has spent the past two years competing with Karen Carter at Keipa Australian Stock Horses in Victoria, but is now home and will be at stud near Bathurst NSW this season.

Remi is a great allrounder and has competed successfully in challenges.

Remi has passed his fantastic, calm, trainable nature on to his first foals that can be seen on the 2012 Foals Page and continues to do so with his 2013 2014 and 2015 foals, you can see them on the foals pages
